There are two types of tooth extractions:

ROOT CANAL

What is a Root Canal?

A root canal is an endodontic treatment that treats the inside of the tooth. Moreover, this is a procedure done by an endodontist to save the inside of the tooth.

Subsequently, this occurs due to a tooth being severely injured, cracked, or decayed; thus, the pulp becomes swollen or infected and needs to have it removed.

How long does a root canal take?

Even though a root canal can be performed in one day, all the processes to start one can take two or more visits to the dentist. Therefore, we need to start with an initial consultation to know the state in which your tooth is.

In addition, if your tooth is infected, our specialist will prescribe antibiotics to lower the infection and have you come in for a second visit.

Once this infection is gone, now we can move forward with the procedure.

How is a root canal done?

A root canal starts when the endodontist numbs your tooth for comfort; second, our specialist removes the infected pulp and nerve in the root of the tooth; third, the endodontist cleans and shapes the inside of the root canal, and to finish, the root canal is filled and sealed.

Afterward, your dentist will place a crown on the tooth to protect and restore it to its original function.
