Our Technology

Grinding and milling with CEREC

These CEREC grinding and milling machines come equipped with a device to vacuum up the mill shavings as well as new precision tools. The new machine can be used for both wet and dry processing, one straight after the other. Dry milling saves a considerable amount of time, as the restoration does not need to be dried before sintering – thus enabling the chairside procedure. And there is no difference in quality between dry and wet milling processes. The dry dust can easily be removed using a short, integrated cleaning program.

Zirconia is a high-performance material in great demand, which CEREC combines with a workflow optimally suited to the material.

4 steps to a full contour zirconium oxide restoration:

  • Scan
  • Design
  • Grinding/Milling: The CEREC grinding and milling unit and CEREC Software are optimally matched. Milling the full contour zirconia restoration is extremely precise, giving the restorations smooth surfaces, smooth margins, and very fine fissures.
  • Sintering & Finalizing: Full zirconia restorations are sintered and glazed chairside in the compact CEREC SpeedFire. The induction technology allows unmatched short sintering and firing times. Operation is very intuitive and simple.

Sinter and Glaze with CEREC SpeedFire

Full contour zirconia restorations in one session.

CEREC SpeedFire is the smallest and fastest sintering furnace and can sinter a crown in typically 10–15 minutes. The strengths of full contour zirconia can thus also be used for chairside treatment. If required, a glaze can be applied with the CEREC SpeedGlaze that can be fired in just a few minutes in the CEREC SpeedFire. Then the restoration is ready to be placed into the patient’s mouth.

Zirconium oxide is a high-performance material in great demand, which CEREC combines with a workflow optimally matched to the material. It has a high degree of flexural strength and is biocompatible, allowing tooth-conserving preparations for fully anatomical restorations. CEREC makes fully anatomical zirconium oxide restorations in a single visit possible – making restorations easier, faster, and more economical than ever.

Minimally invasive: Full contour zirconia restorations require a lower wall thickness and less reduction in tooth structure for full strength.

Strength: Full contour zirconia ensures that you and your patients receive long-lasting restorations.

Perfect fit: 25% larger pre-sintered state yields highly precise margins and occlusal surfaces.
